The Cyber Essentials mark recognizes organizations’ efforts to implement good cyber hygiene practices and aims to enable them to prioritize the cybersecurity measures needed to safeguard their systems and operations from common cyber-attacks.

To attain this certification, organizations need to put in place measures in different categories – Assets, Protection, Update, BackUp, and Respond. Some examples include preventative measures to protect and control access to systems/data, back up data, and update software, as well as responding to a cyber incident.
